In our October 20, 2026 edition, the best breakfast spot in Orlando is Johnny's Diner in Regency Square (SR 436), followed by Se7en Bites and Sourdough Bread House. We screened 19 candidates for independent recognition, scored the strongest on public reputation, recognition and years in business, and these seven scored highest.

Orlando Sentinel readers voted Johnny's Diner Best Breakfast in the 2026 Foodie Awards, and Orlando Magazine readers named its Casselberry diner the area's Best Diner in 2025.
The Krasniqi family ran the original Johnny's Diner on Semoran Boulevard for 27 years until it closed in 2022. The family now runs several separate diners; this one in Casselberry is operated by Linda Prekaj.

Chef-owner Trina Gregory-Propst opened the Milk District bakery-café in 2013 and later moved it to a larger building on the same street. The menu pairs Southern plates such as chicken pot pie and chicken and waffles with sweets baked in-house.

The Orlando Sentinel's food critic named Sourdough Bread House the Best Breakfast in the 2026 Foodie Awards.
The family business began in Maitland around 2017 and later moved to a larger space in Casselberry. Every plate comes with bread baked in-house, and the menu mixes Turkish dishes such as menemen with American breakfasts. It is open daily from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Orlando's breakfast awards went to four different places. Orlando Weekly readers chose Se7en Bites in 2024, 2025 and 2026, and Orlando Magazine readers chose Peach Valley Café in 2024 and 2025. In the 2026 Orlando Sentinel Foodie Awards, readers picked Johnny's Diner while the paper's critic picked Sourdough Bread House in Casselberry.

Michelin lists Se7en Bites at the $ price level, and Johnny's Diner is known for diner prices. Sourdough Bread House sits higher: most breakfast plates on its online menu ran about $18.50 to $21.50 in October 2026, with the full Turkish breakfast at $35.90, each served with bread baked in-house. Price levels for the other four were not published in the sources used.

Besides its South Orange Avenue café inside Orlando city limits, its official site lists locations in Heathrow, Maitland and Celebration, which has a Kissimmee address. Every location is open 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and Orlando Magazine's Best Breakfast awards went to the brand as a whole.
